Ad measurement and privacy choices

Last updated October 9, 2026

Mile offers optional OpenAI ad measurement on its web sign-in page. It is off until you opt in. Your choice is saved in this browser and does not affect your ability to use Mile.

If you opt in, the OpenAI Pixel records a completed registration when you create a new Mile account on the web. OpenAI receives the event time, the website origin, a random event identifier, browser and ad-click identifiers, and network information such as your IP address. We do not pass your email, name, account ID, drives, locations, receipts or financial records to the Pixel. The Pixel is not loaded on your private mileage dashboard.

The Pixel uses first-party cookies: __oppref stores an ad-click identifier for up to 30 days, and __obref stores a browser identifier for up to 365 days. Browser restrictions may shorten these periods. Our registration events opt out of future user-level personalization.

Turn measurement off below to stop future measurement and remove these cookies from this browser. This does not retract events already sent. A Global Privacy Control signal keeps measurement off. You can return here from Settings or the sign-in page.

With your permission, OpenAI uses cookies and browser identifiers to measure whether a ChatGPT ad led to a new Mile web account. You can use Mile with this turned off and change your choice in Settings.

These details supplement the Mile Privacy Policy. See also OpenAI’s Privacy Policy. Questions: admin@apponance.com.
